CAT GARZA, Jr.
Cayetano “cat” Garza Jr. lives and works in the small South Texas town of Edinburg, nestled along the Rio Grande and about five minutes from the Mexican border. He has been producing weekly strips online sporadically since 1997. Aside from a print version of Magic Inkwell Comic Strip Theatre in comic book form published by Moordam Comics back in 1997, he was also part of the groundbreaking Eisner nominated Brainbomb anthology. Cat also produces a strip and freelance illustrations for the Uastin American-Statesman’s “xl ent” alternative weekly supplement. Scott McCloud’s Reinventing Comics cites him as one of the pioneers of online comics.
